Palanpur
Palace was constructed more than a century ago by Nawab
Sher Mohammed Khan of Palanpur state. Later his son Nawab
Taley Mohammed Khan took keen interest and further
furnished it to make it an ideal summer Palace. The
present Iqabal Mohammmed Khan provided more glory and
glamour to this palace, to stand out amongst other
palaces. It was Nawab Taley Mohammed Khan, who had the
noble idea of converting a part of this Palace from 1923
to 1936 for Hotel purpose. It was named "MOUNT HOTEL" and
later an Englishman named it as "Hotel Skeltania".
