One of the
Jewels of the Great Desert of Rajasthan is the famous holy
town of Pushkar. It is here amongst the temples and ghats
surrounding the holy lake where the great Brahma temple is
situated. It is here that Brahma, the creator, dropped a
lotus flower and performed a vedic "YAGNA" during the month
of Kartika which gives birth to the Pushkar Festival. The
temple here is the only temple in India dedicated to Lord
Brahma.
